Rhonda passed away peacfully a few minutes ago. A service will be held at Sol Levinson Funeral Home. We will post details soon. Thank you to all those who shared their love and support!
I am so glad that she was surrounded by those who loved her-- and yes, thank you Caroline for your thoughtful posts and updates. Rhonda has meant a lot to all of us.
I am deeply saddened by the lost of my friend. What a blessing to have known Rhonda and witnessed her passion for medicine, helping others, giant breed dogs, and of course her love for Mickey.
I was able to see Rhonda after she passed and am happy that she looked very much at peace. She was such a great teacher, and even in her illness she taught us how to handle one's fate with grace, courage, and more than just a little humor. We will miss her dearly.
I am truly saddened by the loss of a great mentor but comforted with a lot of happy memories. I feel truly blessed to have met a person who brought out the best in us. I remembered preparing for doctor's rounds knowing that she'll be asking questions. But what's really great is she makes you feel that you are an important part of the team. I believe she's one of the reasons why we have a great ICU team right now. She's such an inspiration and she will deeply missed...
So heartbroken and speechless right now....I am unfortunately just now learning of your passing. You were not only an amazing physician, but a very caring, loving, and compassionate person. I will never forget the day you gave my husband and I the news of my breast cancer diagnosis in 2004. I knew you were there for me not only as a physician, but as a friend. Thank you for saving my life. You will be forever deeply missed....we love you.------Karla Sauter

ReplyDeleteThinking of Rhonda and Mickey today. Slight less sad that when Rhonda passed five years ago, but still missing her.
